Well week 1 down ans so far so good!!

I arrived into Bangkok on 28th November and stayed there for 4 nights. While it is a bit manic there I enjoyed the buzz around the place. I think a couple of days there is enough for anyone. It was a bit disappointing not to get to see many of the sights there. The Tut tut drivers and some taxis are only interested in bringing you to clothes or souvinier shops.
Although it is great value in the quest houses in Bangkok - place i stayed was around euro 4 per night.Met up with an irish group on one of the nights and had a right session. Also met a really nice couple who are returning home to Australia soon after travelling around South East Asia.

I got in the island of Phuket on Sunday 2nd November and am currently working my way down the south western coast towards the busy Patong beach.
The beaches here are amazing and the people really friendly. The plan is to head for Patong tomorrow and stay there 1/2 nights. Then maybe Krabi island.Patong is supposed to be really mad so i think i need an early night tonight. Staying in a village called Nathon beach tonight - its really quite here but very nice.
